The British Dragonfly Society is the leading British charity working to conserve dragonflies and their wetland habitats. By making a donation you will be supporting a wetland conservation society that is a valued advisor to government agencies, the RSPB, The National Trust and private landowners.
By agreeing that your subscription or donation is given under the Gift Aid scheme you are helping the BDS by enabling us to reclaim the notional tax on the amount given. Currently this is worth an additional 25% on top of the amount given and you incur no additional cost. You do need to pay income tax or capital gains tax equal to the amount that we can reclaim to be able to sign up for the scheme. Signing up is particularly attractive if you are fortunate enough to pay tax at above the basic rate because you can reclaim from HM Revenue & Customs the additional tax paid above the basic rate.
