Anyone can contribute towards this new project to describe in detail the habitats of Britain’s dragonflies. In order to put some science behind proposed habitat sections in the forthcoming Dragonfly Atlas (publication is scheduled for 2013), please complete questionnaires for sites you know well, or are able to visit this summer. The idea is to record the habitat and site characteristics of sites, and which breeding species are present at each. The relationships between species and site characteristics will be analysed, so the more widespread and varied the sites you can describe, the better the results will be.
